Doris Happel "Begonias as Ground Cover"
Tired of mulch? Need to set off interesting plants from that boring grass? Have a shady area where nothing grows well? Consider a tropical begonia. Doris Happel, , our great grower, begonia expert and past president of the Begonia Society of the Palm Beaches, will show us how to use beautiful begonias to solve these and other problems and add interest to your garden.
Tropical begonias grow really well in shady spots in Palm Beach county. Our soil and climate are very hospitable to these lovely and unusual plants (we’re not talking about the wax annuals found in clusters in summer northern gardens.) We talking lusty beautiful varied and variegated foliage that will make your shady gardens memorable. And, they are easy to grow. Doris will show you many different begonias for different situations.
