| Begonia 'Black Velvet' is a beautiful rhizomatous-type begonia. The name says it all. The 4-inch leaves are truly velvety and black with a small green star in the center. Flowers are pink and appear in winter. 'Black Velvet' grows slowly but steadily to form a wonderful mound. It's great in a decorative pot because it will not outgrow the pot for several years. Propagation is easy, but slow, from rhizomes or leaves. |
